Storyboard Assignment

This storyboard is inspired by the story of 'Ugly Duckling'
About a guy who is an outcast in a school, and who wants to fit in with the 'rich kids' but they will not accept him.

I used black and white cause it gives more a dramatic feel to the TV series.

Hence the reason for the title of outcast was because the main character is an 'outcast' and it gives a feel to it just like the Ugly Duckling title.

Design Brief

As part of the TAC Company, we aim to provide information, facts, and statistics about alcohol, and as well as what alcohol consumption can do to someone behind to someone behind the wheel of a vehicle.

We are hoping to produce an advertisement targeting drink driving, or driving under the influence of alcohol and drugs. We plan on hoping to show footage of accident scenes in which have been filmed or a enactment of an accident, that were caused by drink driving, and as well as finding a willing participant who has a personal story about how they were affected by someone they knew who were involved. With using a setting of someone standing in the scene of where the accident, re-living the accident of their oneself or of a loved one, it will give a more surreal of a feel to the advertisement and as well put more emotion into it as well in which will hopefully help bring emotion into the targeted audience.

The intended audience for this advertisement is directed at a younger audience of around 18-25, especially the audience in which are on their P’s, as they are the ones in which are most likely prolonged to get behind the wheel of a car when under the influence of alcohol or drugs. We want to send them a direct message of what could happen if they were do get behind the wheel while under the influence and is helping drill in the message of that, ‘If you drink and drive then you are a bloody idiot’
The aim of this advertisement is to send a message to the audience that if you drink and drive you may end up in a serious in a serious accident and that the decision of driving under the influence can change your life just in a click of a finger all from the one poor decision. With showing a strong emotion in advertisement, it will hopefully hit the audience emotionally and make them think twice before getting behind the wheel of a vehicle while they are under the influence of alcohol.

This project is set to be started around the middle of June, and we aim to have it completed and ready to be released as an advertisement by October which gives us 3 and half months to complete the project which will include the recording of an accident scene story with a willing participant and as well as the editing process, and getting it approved by the advertisement committee.

Assignment 1: Rubbish Fonts

When I first thought of rubbish, all I would think about is "trash". But then I started to explore what I thought would be rubbish that wouldn't be just paper, and trash. But I couldn't come up with one specific idea, so I just went with drawing a rubbish bag, and then scanning it onto the computer and then making it larger so that I could then put a letter into the bag: (as below with my "Rubbish Font")

I think this was intended for the younger audience, as it is a more fancy way of displaying letters with placing a letter into an object which in this case into the rubbish bag. As well, the style and the colour of the writing would attract a younger audience as it's more bold, and out there which younger audience seem to be attracted to these days.

My First PhotoShop Attempt

This image above was my first attempt at transferring one picture onto another picture using Photo-shop

I firstly cut out Homer, and then transferred him onto a table (which was a different image)
